Ticket Purchase Terms

Last updated June 2026

These Ticket Purchase Terms apply when you buy tickets to an event through the TYF Tools Box Office. They cover the ticket itself, pricing, refunds, entry, and conduct. The event is run by an independent organizer; TYF Tools sells the ticket as the organizer's agent. The terms that govern producers and the broader platform are separate and live at Terms of Service.

1. Agreement and Acceptance

These Ticket Purchase Terms govern your purchase of tickets through the TYF Tools Box Office. By selecting tickets, entering payment information, or completing a purchase, you confirm that you have read these terms, that you accept them, and that you are entering into a binding agreement. You confirm that you are old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Any minimum age to attend a specific event is set by the organizer and shown in the event details.

If you are buying tickets for other people in your party, you accept these terms for yourself and for each person who will use a ticket in your order, and you are responsible for making sure they follow them.

If you do not agree with these terms, do not complete a purchase.

2. The Role of TYF Tools and the Organizer

Each event is produced and run by an independent event organizer (the "organizer"). The organizer sets the event details, the lineup, the venue, the schedule, the capacity, and any event-specific policies. The organizer is the party responsible for staging and delivering the event you are buying a ticket to.

TYF Tools provides the ticketing platform and sells tickets as the organizer’s agent. We process your order, deliver your ticket, and handle payment through our payment processor. We are not the organizer, we do not control the event, and we do not promise anything about the event’s content, quality, safety, or outcome.

Your purchase creates a contract for admission between you and the organizer. For questions about the event itself, including refunds, schedule changes, accommodations, and conduct at the door, the organizer is the responsible party. These terms explain what each party is responsible for.

3. Your Ticket Is a Revocable License to Attend

A ticket is a limited, personal, revocable license granted by the organizer to attend the specific event it was issued for, on the date and at the venue shown, subject to these terms and to the organizer’s and venue’s rules. A ticket does not give you ownership of anything beyond that right of admission.

Your license to attend can be revoked, and your ticket can be refused or voided, if you breach these terms, if you breach the organizer’s or venue’s rules, or as otherwise described in these terms. Where a license is revoked because of your own conduct, you are not entitled to a refund.

4. Pricing, Fees, and Payment

Ticket prices are shown all-in. The total you see before you confirm your purchase includes the face value of the ticket and any applicable service fees, with no separate fees added at the end of checkout. Any taxes that apply will be reflected in your total where required.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By submitting payment, you authorize the charge for the full amount shown and you agree to Stripe’s handling of your payment. TYF Tools does not store full card numbers. You are responsible for any charges your own bank or card issuer may add, such as foreign transaction fees, which are outside our control.

If a payment is reversed, charged back, or fails after a ticket is issued, we and the organizer may void the affected ticket. In the rare case a ticket is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical or human error, we or the organizer may cancel the affected order and refund what you paid rather than honor the mistaken price.

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first so we can help resolve it. You agree not to dispute a charge or request a chargeback for a refund that is not owed under these terms or the organizer’s policy. Filing a chargeback in those circumstances may result in your ticket being voided, and we may decline to honor future purchases tied to the disputed payment method.

To protect buyers and organizers, we may ask you to verify a purchase, and we may cancel or refuse any order we reasonably believe is fraudulent, high-risk, or in breach of these terms. If we cancel an order on these grounds, we refund any amount that was actually charged to your payment method.

5. Refunds and Exchanges

All sales are final unless the event is cancelled or unless the organizer’s published policy for that event provides otherwise. You are not entitled to a refund if you change your mind, cannot attend, do not show up, or made a mistake when ordering. Check the event details and the organizer’s policy before you buy.

If an event is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of the full amount you paid, including fees. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Because the organizer holds the proceeds of ticket sales, cancellation refunds are funded by the organizer, and we process them on the organizer’s behalf. We will process a cancellation refund as promptly as we reasonably can.

Some organizers offer additional refund, exchange, or rescheduling options, including what happens if an event is postponed. Those options are set by the organizer and described in the event’s own policy. Refund and exchange requests are decided by the organizer; TYF Tools processes what the organizer approves. Only the original purchaser may make a request.

Because each organizer is the merchant of record for its event and receives the proceeds of its ticket sales directly through our payment processor, TYF Tools does not hold or control event funds. Where a refund is owed, the organizer funds it and we process it on the organizer’s behalf. If an organizer does not provide a refund you believe is due, you can ask us to review the request, and we will look into it and reach a decision. Because we do not control the funds, we may be unable to compel a refund, and we are not responsible for an organizer’s failure or inability to fund one.

6. Transfers and Resale

Tickets are issued to you for personal use. Unless the organizer expressly allows it for a given event, tickets may not be transferred, sold, or resold. Tickets must not be resold above face value, sold through brokers or resellers, or used in any commercial promotion without the organizer’s permission.

Because a ticket is validated by a single scan, sharing or duplicating a ticket creates a real risk that you or the recipient will be turned away at the door. We and the organizer may void, cancel, or refuse any ticket we reasonably believe has been transferred or resold in breach of these terms, sold above face value, or duplicated, and no refund is owed in those cases.

7. Ticket Delivery, Entry, and Scanning

Tickets are delivered electronically, typically as an e-ticket containing a QR code. Keep your ticket secure and do not post the QR code publicly, because anyone who copies it may be able to use it before you do.

Each ticket is valid for a single scan at entry. The first valid scan admits the ticket. If a ticket is presented again after it has already been scanned, including a copy or screenshot held by someone else, it will not grant entry. We are not responsible for entry problems caused by a ticket that was shared, copied, or transferred outside of an option the organizer allows.

You may be asked to present your ticket together with valid identification at the door. The organizer and venue control admission and may set entry times, re-entry rules, and bag or item restrictions for the event.

8. Entry Conditions, Conduct, and Right to Refuse

As a condition of entry, you agree to follow the directions of the organizer, the venue, and event staff, and to comply with all venue rules and safety requirements. You agree not to behave in a way that is unlawful, dangerous, threatening, or disruptive, or that interferes with other attendees’ enjoyment of the event.

The organizer and the venue may refuse entry or remove anyone on reasonable grounds, including failure to meet entry conditions, failure of an age or identity check, intoxication, or the conduct described above. Where entry is refused or you are removed because of your own conduct or because you did not meet a stated entry condition, no refund or compensation is owed.

9. Age Restrictions

Some events set a minimum age or require attendees of a certain age to be accompanied. Any age requirement is set and enforced by the organizer and is shown in the event details. By purchasing, you confirm that you and everyone in your party meet the age requirement for the event.

You may be required to show valid identification proving your age at the door. If you cannot meet the age requirement or provide acceptable identification, entry may be refused with no refund. Where alcohol is served, the organizer and venue are responsible for restricting sales to attendees of legal drinking age.

10. Recording, Photography, and Likeness

Events may be photographed, filmed, or recorded by the organizer or its partners to document and promote the event. By attending, you consent to being captured in that footage and to the use of your image, likeness, and voice in connection with the event, unless the organizer’s own policy states otherwise.

Rules about recording or photography by attendees, including any restrictions on cameras or phones, are set by the organizer and the venue. Follow the rules posted or announced for the event.

11. Health, Safety, and Assumption of Risk

Attending a live event carries inherent risks. By purchasing a ticket and attending, you accept those risks voluntarily, and you agree to follow all health and safety instructions given by the organizer and venue.

The organizer and the venue are responsible for complying with applicable health and safety requirements for the event, including capacity limits. TYF Tools does not operate the event or the venue and is not responsible for conditions or incidents at the event.

12. Accessibility and Accommodations

If you need an accessibility accommodation to attend an event, contact the organizer in advance, since accessibility features and accommodations are provided by the organizer and the venue and vary by event and location. If you reach us instead, we will route your request to the organizer.

We do not control what a given venue is able to offer. Requesting in advance gives the organizer time to arrange suitable accommodations.

13. Force Majeure

Neither TYF Tools nor the organizer is responsible for failure or delay in performing obligations caused by events beyond reasonable control. These include natural disasters, severe weather, fire, power or network outages, public health emergencies, government orders, civil disturbance, acts of terrorism, war, and labor disputes.

If an event is cancelled, postponed, or changed because of such an event, your remedy is handled through the refund provisions of these terms and the organizer’s own policy. Where such an event is cancelled, the cancellation refund described in Section 5 applies.

14. Privacy

To sell you a ticket we collect your name, email, and payment details, and we share what the organizer needs to manage admission and your order. How we handle that information is described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The TYF Tools Box Office is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant the quality, safety, legality, or success of any event, which is the organizer’s responsibility.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TYF Tools is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from an event’s cancellation, postponement, change, or refusal of entry, which are the organizer’s responsibility. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to a ticket purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the tickets in that order.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

16. Dispute Resolution

If you have a problem with an order, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Most issues can be settled quickly without a formal dispute.

If we cannot resolve a matter informally, it will be handled in the courts identified in the Governing Law section below, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your home state still apply.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you complete a purchase applies to that purchase. We post the current version here, and material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above.

If you continue to use the TYF Tools Box Office after changes are posted, you accept the updated terms for future purchases.

18. General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the event details and the organizer’s own policy, are the entire agreement between you and us for your ticket purchase.

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms except as expressly allowed. We may assign our rights and obligations, for example in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the business.

19. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not otherwise resolved will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home state, whose mandatory consumer protections still apply.

20. How to Contact Us

For help with an order, a refund the organizer allows, a ticket delivery or entry problem, or any question about these terms, contact the TYF Tools Box Office at tellyourfriendsxyz@gmail.com. Have your order details ready so we can find your purchase.

For questions about the event itself, including its schedule, content, door policies, conduct rules, and accommodations, contact the organizer of that event. Where an event-specific policy or contact is provided in the event details, that information takes precedence for matters the organizer controls.
